Atomic-emission spectrometer EMAS-200D (EMAS-1000) and UniChrom n-Vision

EMAS-1000

Producer: JSC "Spectroscopic Systems"

Equipped with the UniChrom n-VisiON software

Highlights

EMAS-1000 design

System incorporates multi-monochromator design.
I.e. for specified analytical task the crate (picture at the left) is filled with up-to 5 monochromators fixed at analytical wavelength ranges. This makes system less affected by environmental conditions, since fixed monochromators are very stable.

Every monochromator is equipped by 3645-element CCD sensor, so entire system represent a virtual CCD sensor from 3645 to 18225-element linear detector.

Every region monochromator has its own fiber-optic light entrance. All the fibers are bundled inside the spark-chamber and adjusted to look at electrodes.

System is controlled by ARM9-family (ns9750) embedded computer running Linux (2.6 kernel). External control made through TCP/IP 100-Base T ethernet connection. System provides up to 10 spectra per second, depending on exposition time. Ethernet connection (transformer-decoupled) is less sensible to EM noise impact (generally arc and spark generators produce EMF).

Differences between EMAS-200 and EMAS-1000

Characteristic EMAS-200 D EMAS-1000
Number of sensors (CCD/DAD) 1 1..5
Number of monochromators 1 1..5 (fixed)
PC connection RS-232 / USB 100 Base-T Ethernet

Application field

Using the atomic-emission spectrometer EMAS 200D, it is possible to determine the following alloy marks in different material types:

Copper and copper alloys:

  • copper,
  • brass type LS,
  • brass type LAZhMzSK,
  • bronze type OSZ,
  • bronze type BrAZhMz,
  • bronze type BrOF,
  • beryllium bronze.

Aluminium and aluminium alloys:

  • aluminium
  • aluminium alloy of type AKMMgN
  • aluminium alloy of type AK
  • aluminium alloy of type AK5M2
  • aluminium alloy of type D16
  • aluminium alloy of type AMG

Zinc and zinc alloys:

  • zinc,
  • zinc alloy of type ZAM.

Pure Nickel

Lead and lead-antimony alloys.

Steels:

  • carbon steel type UG,
  • steel type ChGSN
    • steel type ChGSM
    • instrumental steels
    • high speed steels
  • stainless steel type Ch18N10T.

Cast iron of all classes.

Precious metals:

  • gold
  • platinum
  • palladium
  • silver
If required the methods for material class can be developed (when the standard reference materials exist for the class)

Due to low power consumption of the instrument (less than 30 W), the instrument do not overheat. Durability term is not less than 10 years (optics do not getting old) and is determined by PC life span, which is a part of instrument.

EMAS 200D shipped with 18 month warranty term.

After-warranty maintenance is carried out upon additional agreement which include travel and postal expends, service personnel salary and spare parts cost.
